Image

Salaam and hello to all. Join us on an amazing tour of the mighty, splendid fort of Rohtas and many more attractions in and around the fort. The world-famous fort was built by the legendary King Sher Shah Suri in the mid 16th century. It was built after he toppled the throne of the Mughals and forced Humayun to flee from India, one of the most exciting episodes in the history of India and this whole region. It is said that any piece of art or architecture reflects the personality of its creator, to prove this point no better example can be given than the Rohtas fort. In the fort, you will see its mighty walls and imposing gates. A four century old mosque and a Baoli, i.e. a stepwell, is an interesting piece of architecture and one of the few left in Pakistan. It is a treat for those who have an interest in history and a taste for outdoor activities. Next, we shall explore two historic Sikh gurdwaras at Rohtas, both having great religious and historic significance. Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji himself stayed for some time at Rohtas and a gurdwara was built by Maharaja Ranjit Singh in his sacred memory. You will learn a lot about Sikh history, religion, and architecture while exploring these places. Later on, we will visit a Mughal Era tomb, said to be of a Mughal princess Khair un Nissa, who died here returning from Kabul. The beauty of this hidden and forgotten marvelous piece of architecture will surprise you. Our last leg of this exciting journey is visiting the beautiful tomb of famous king Sultan Shahabuddin Muhammad Ghauri. History will always remember this brave and resolute king as the one who laid the foundations of Muslim rule in India. The tomb is surrounded by a beautifully laid garden and the whole area will capture your heart with its pristine beauty and serene atmosphere. We assure you a trip that you will never forget and stories of which you will share with your friends for a long time to come. Bring your best camera with you to capture and share pictures of magnificent buildings and the beautiful landscape.
